For children and youth in Kenya

Every child deserves a chance to learn, play and grow.

Wake Vocational Center opens doors for children and young people through education support, sports talent development and digital and AI learning.

Who we are

Wake Vocational Center is a community organisation built around a simple belief: talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. We work with children and young people who need support to stay in school, develop their gifts and prepare for the world of work — including the digital world.

We are deliberate about what we run. This site tells you what we do, what comes next, and how you can help.

What we do

Three pillars guide our work, with a fourth growing alongside. Each programme page shows what we offer and how it works.

About Environment

Why we started

Too many children leave school without the skills, confidence or support they need. Too many talented young athletes never meet a coach. And while the world moves toward digital and AI-driven work, many young people have never touched a computer.

Wake Vocational Center exists to close those gaps — working alongside our community and growing with it.

Our roadmap

Clear commitments, in public — what we are working toward next, and what we will report back on.

  1. Quarter 1

    Education support sessions

Open weekend learning sessions for our first intake of learners, led by volunteer tutors alongside partner schools.

  2. Quarter 2

    Sports talent programme

Field our first football training group — weekly coached sessions, with kits drawn from our equipment wish list.

  3. Quarter 3

    Digital & AI learning

Run digital literacy sessions on donated devices, with safe and supervised AI use built in from the start.

  4. Quarter 4

    Report and expand

Publish a public progress report to our community and partners, and grow the programmes that prove themselves.
